5 Did Exactly What I Needed! Posted by Jon on Nov 10th 2020 Keep in mind: I used this on a Beretta 92FS frame, which is aluminum. I recently purchased the gun and saw a spot of silver on the frame where the finish was missing. I simply colored the spot and a little bit around the area with the marker, and it turned black a few seconds later. There was no spotting and you can't even tell it was touched up! The substance in the marker is clear, and from what I understand, it reacts with the aluminum to turn it black, so don't be confused when you open it and the tip is white. The chemical won't turn black until it's on the aluminum. Threw me off for a few. I kept messing with it to see if you had to prime it to get black paint or whatever to soak into the tip. Also keep in mind - I tried it on a few spots on my Sig P226 frame, which is not aluminum, and it did nothing to fix the spots. I did it 3 times and the spots are just as visible as before I started. This is only meant to work on aluminum!
