An effective water-displacer that forms a slightly oily protective film with excellent rust protection and lubricity. Its thin-bodied consistency allows the liquid to quickly penetrate blind holes and recessed areas to remove water and form a protective barrier film. For use in applications that require the protection of a solvent-based oil, but are also sensitive to VOC or flash point issues. The protection levels are the same as that of the regular SHEATH RB1 above, but the Non-VOC feature creates another option for use in these restricted areas.
DRI TOUCH® IRP1 Dry-to-touch Rust Preventive Solvent based, 126° F flash point
A super-fast water-displacer and penetrant that forms a dry-to-touch film with good handling properties. Ideal for use on bare steel components, such as raw steel/casting inventory, tooling/fixturing or fine quality gages, calipers, etc. Its non-dimensional film has self-healing properties to offer stout protection for critical surfaces. A highly effective rust blocker that forms a colorless, odorless barrier film with a dry-to-touch consistency that will not drain off the parts or wick off onto packaging materials, like oily products can. Its excellent handling properties make this product the ideal choice for use as a sealant over black oxide or phosphate finishes. DRI TOUCH AMBER Non-VOC Rust Preventive
Solvent based, 250° F flash point
A Non-VOC version of the DRI TOUCH AMBER above that contains No Volatile Organic Compounds. For use in applications that require the robust protection of a solvent-based coating, but have flash point or combustibility issues - for example, parts being coated in the heat treat department or in an area with gas-fired space heaters. Or, in plants that are under regulatory air quality restrictions. The ultimate protection levels are the same as that of the regular DRI TOUCH AMBER, but its Non-VOC property creates viable options for these restricted applications.
DRI TOUCH® PLUS IRP3 Heavy-Duty Rust Preventive
Solvent based, 130° F flash point
A heavy-duty protective coating that leaves a somewhat thicker film than the DRI TOUCH AMBER above. Suitable for use on parts going into storage or into dealer warehouses, this product is also an effective water displacer, with a self-healing, soft-waxy film, with a noticeably thicker consistency, with better moisture resistance. DRI TOUCH® DS Dewatering Sealant –
Solvent based, 130° F flash point
This product is an excellent water displacer that forms an invisible protective film on fine quality surfaces or non-porous surfaces. Ideal for use as a sealant for the LUMICLAD® black oxide on aluminum because it is non-porous, but it also works very well to seal zinc or nickel plated surfaces to enhance the corrosion resistance in low-current density areas, or on parts that require a sealant that is not noticeable itself, such as fine-quality gages, calipers, micrometers, etc. Not for sale in California. BARRICADE™ Heavy-Duty Protectant -
Solvent based, 130° F flash point
An ultra heavy-duty protectant that forms a thicker, semi-solid film with a self-healing consistency. Ideal for use on parts that go into long-term storage or ocean shipment, with coating actually is a bit sticky and firm. Water based, No Flash Point
A water dilutable oil that forms a slightly oily protective film. Used at 130° F to promote fast drying, this product works very well on bulk-processed parts, such as barrel coated hand tools, fasteners, etc. Very low operating cost and easy of operation make this product the material of choice for plating shops or other high volume process lines. Non-flammable.
DRI TOUCH® WB Sealant
Water based, No Flash Point
A water-based version of DRI TOUCH IRP1 above. Mixes with water and forms a dry-to-touch protective film that has a soft, waxy consistency rather than an oily film. Works very well on bulk processed parts that must go into cardboard packaging, etc. Low operating cost and easy to operate. Non-flammable.
SATIN SHIELD® SS10 Clear Acrylic Sealant
Water based, No Flash Point
An acrylic polymer emulsion that forms a smooth, satin-gloss dry finish with a film thickness of about .0002”. For applications requiring excellent appearance for sales appeal or retail sale. The finish has a pleasing satin gloss with no ruboff residue, making it compatible with retail packaging or useful on parts that need clean handling properties. Can be applied in a heated dipping tank to speed drying.
CLEARLOK® Clear Urethane Sealant Water based, No Flash Point
A heavy-duty, urethane polymer sealant that forms a hard, glossy protective film that stands up to scuffing, wear and handling. Dries quickly with no odor. The urethane polymers add hardness and durability, with a dry film thickness of about 0.0002".
